The Space Between
One
The day had been a rainy one. Moisture stiffened the air giving a chill down one's spine as the cool seemed to stick like salt water. That same salty wind swept over the treetops in swirling gusts. The forests were dangerous this time of year. A crash echoed in the distance, the sound of destruction not by a ninja’s hands, though, it could have been assumed so. It was the cleansing of nature, from elements that could never be defeated nor swayed simply allowed to pass.
